Prism Studio stores all source documents and translated text in a secure local sandbox on your local machine. Your translation memory (TM) and original documents are never permanently uploaded to our servers. Even when you are offline, all features except machine translation and chatbot features (such as document editing, shortcuts, and local storage) work seamlessly, preventing any data leak risks.
Prism Studio is designed in compliance with the international ISO 639-1 language code standard, supporting translation for over 100 languages worldwide, including English, Korean, Japanese, and Chinese. It integrates world-class translation engines such as OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, and DeepL, allowing you to choose the best engine suited for your specific language pairs.
We natively parse and support Word (.docx), Excel (.xlsx), and industry-standard localization formats (.xlf, .xliff, .sdlxliff), as well as Markdown (.md, .mdx), HTML (.html), JSON (.json), and plaintext (.txt) documents. Using our local parser, formatting tags and Markdown styles are fully protected while extracting segments, ensuring that your file structure and design are restored perfectly when you export the translated file.
Yes, you can easily import industry-standard translation memory files such as TMX and XLIFF into Prism Studio. Since all imported data stays on your local machine and is saved locally without being sent to external servers, you can leverage your existing translation assets securely.
Prism Studio focuses strictly on security and productivity. First, with our 'local-first' architecture, all source documents and translation assets remain on your device (local sandbox), ensuring zero risk of data leaks. Second, our shortcut-driven UI enables editing, segment confirmation, and file switching via shortcuts and the shortcut commands without reaching for a mouse.
